Our relation to color and light is focused upon certain fragments of our own experience, we are both observer and participator in a larger context. If you make paintings you accepting the nature of art and understand the function of art. My paintings are an exercise in color and light. The intense color having a luminosity, sketched out on the wall or canvas, then subsequently built up a surface of thin glazes, achieving an effect of transparency and depth. The color is unmodulated and brushed out and there is no visible brushstroke, just color and light, a phenomenon of nature.
